Celtics fans everywhere are probably disappointed that Danny Ainge didn’t make a trade yesterday but in retrospect, that was a good thing. The Celtics are not a title contender. Even if they acquired Kevin Love or Al Horford, that wouldn’t be enough to make them a title contender. Maybe they get to the Eastern Conference Finals but that’s it. They don’t beat Cleveland in a seven game series and they…
http://youtu.be/BdmHqTH2oug How awesome is Jared Allen’s retirement announcement? This is the best impromptu retirement announcement I have ever seen. People thought Marshawn Lynch hanging up his cleats from a telephone line was cool. Psssh! That’s JV. Jared Allen announcing his retirement on a horse is where it’s at.
Pitchers and catchers officially report for the Red Sox today. While most Red Sox fans are excited that spring is around the corner, I’m thinking more about what the upcoming season has in store for the Red Sox. I have five questions that I am hoping can be answered by the end of spring training. 1. Can Hanley Ramirez Actually Play First Base? I don’t think he can but I’m…
The Patriots officially rehired Dante Scarnecchia as their offensive line coach. This will be Scarnecchia’s third tour of duty with the Patriots. Scarnecchia has been retired for the past two years but he was still around the organization helping them evaluate talent for the draft. So, how does Coach Scar improve the Patriots offensive line? Well, he knows the veterans and he’s gotten those guys to play for him…
Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo unexpectedly announced his retirement tonight after eight seasons in New England. Mayo was drafted 10th overall in the 2008 draft out of Tennessee. Bill Belichick shocked pundits with the Mayo pick because up until that point, Belichick refused to draft linebackers in the early round of the draft because he preferred veteran players at the position. So what kind of a player was Mayo? If I…
Why do I get the sense Ainge isn’t going to do shit come Thursday? 1. Tobias Harris would have been a nice pick up for the Celtics. Instead, he’s going to Detroit. Why do I have a feeling Ainge isn’t going to do shit on Thursday? 2. While it’s funny that Mookie Betts crashed his golf cart into a pond, I’m just glad he’s not hurt. Don’t get me wrong,…
Mookie Betts and three of his teammates were playing a round of golf on Sunday when Betts accidentally drove his golf cart into a pond. Betts and his teammates are lucky they didn’t get hurt. Lesson learned here folks. Don’t let an inexperienced golf cart driver drive.
http://youtu.be/hUzt-7QZY2A Ronda Rousey recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and admitted that she wanted to kill herself the night she lost to Holly Holm. That’s some heavy shit. I give Rousey credit. Most people wouldn’t admit that they have contemplated suicide never mind admitting it in front of a national television audience. Good for Rousey. I give her credit for doing that and seeking the help she needed. Now…
Jenrry Meija might just be the biggest idiot of all time. The Mets reliever was banned for life after testing positive for a banned substance three times in the same calendar year. What is wrong with this guy? How do you get caught three times in the same year? I don’t get it? The bigger question is, why wasn’t there anyone in this young man’s life to guide him?…
Peyton Manning could be the biggest fraud in American sports history. Peyton Manning is Teflon. Nothing will ever stick to him. Not the HGH scandal, not the sexual abuse claims. Nothing! You can try all you want but as long as he’s beloved by football fans in Tennessee, Indianapolis, Denver and the national media, nothing will ever stick to him. Nothing! Manning is the football fair haired boy from…
