The Massachusetts Pirates are one win away from being IFL champions in their inaugural season after beating the Frisco Fighters 43-22 last night. Holy Cross: Crusaders upset UConn to pick up their first FBS win in 19 years
Three years ago, Holy Cross hired Bob Chesney to return the football program to prominence. The administration did not place a timetable on when the program needed to be contending by but if they did, I am not sure they thought the program would reach that level so soon. Pirates Preview: Frisco Fighters (10-3) at Massachusetts Pirates (11-3)
Opening Kickoff: The Pirates will host the Frisco Fighters in the semifinal round of the IFL playoffs. Both teams are in their inaugural season and both organizations have made quite an impression this season. The two teams split the two regular season meetings with each team winning at home.
