BC’s Director of Recruiting leaving the program

On Friday morning, NEFJ learned that Jason Tudryn – the Director of Recruiting for Boston College – is leaving the program.

Tudryn is taking on a new role with The UC Report and will be working at various Under Armor camps around the country with some of the most elite prospects.

A UMass alum (1996) and formerly a safeties coach for the Minutemen in 2019, Tudryn has been a key piece of Jeff Hafley’s staff the last couple seasons after switching over to DB coach for the Minutemen in 2020. Tudryn was with North Carolina for five years as the Director of High School relations before heading back to Amherst.

The last two years, Tudryn has helped bring in guys like Ryan O’Keefe, Logan Taylor, Kyle Hergel and of course the program’s most prized possession now, Thomas Castellanos.

“It’s an opportunity to grow my network and work with some of the best players in the country,” Tudryn said.

Director of Scouting Spencer Dickow will be taking over Tudryn’s role. Tudryn’s final day on the job for BC was Friday.

It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Hafley sticks with Dickow or goes on a search to find someone else to bring in to add to the staff considering how wild the world of recruiting is these days.
