A lot of upheaval this week, as some top teams fell, and there were a few upsets mixed in.
Two of our top 5 teams lost, but to very good, out-of-state competition, so we did not really penalize them.

1. Catholic Memorial (1-1) — A costly defeat to Cardinal Newman (Fla.).
2. St. John’s Prep (2-0) — This running game is something else.
3. Springfield Central (1-1) — A loss to one of New York’s best.
4. Xaverian (2-0) — Hawks looking sharp so far.
5. King Philip (2-0) — A nice win over Marblehead.
6. Milford (2-0) — Blanked Wellesley.
7. Andover (2-0) — Has reloaded exceptionally well.
8. Franklin (2-0) — Held on to beat the Boxers.
9. Plymouth South (2-0) — Speed all over this offense.
10. Barnstable (2-0) — The nature of that Brockton win looks even better now.
11. Hanover (2-0) — Cruising right along.
12. Foxboro (2-0) — Ben Angelini is one heck of a back.
13. Milton (2-0) — Wildcats playing well early.
14. Billerica (2-0) — This team is coming together nicely.
15. Everett (1-1) — Trounced Somerville as expected.
16. Needham (2-0) — Shocking win over L-S.
17. North Attleboro (1-1) — Red Rocketeers will be back.
18. Central Catholic (0-2) — Nearly pulled the comeback off vs. Prep.
19. Shawsheen (2-0) — Two solid wins to start.
20. Duxbury (1-1) — Strong comeback over Mansfield.
21. St. John’s (S) (2-0) — This team has put last year behind it.
22. Lincoln-Sudbury (1-1) — Rally at Needham fell just short.
23. Methuen (1-1) — Back on the winning track.
24. BC High (2-0) — An eye-opening rout of Reading.
25. Melrose (2-0) — Off to a good start.
