Patriots Pulse Preview: Miami Dolphins (4-6) at New England Patriots (8-2)

1. Get Pressure on Matt Moore: The Patriots need to get consistent pressure on Matt Moore and get him out of the pocket. Moore won’t force balls into tight areas if given time. He is more likely to turn the ball if he is forced to throw it on the run.

2. Don’t Give Up Big Plays Down Field: The Dolphins can make big plays down the field with Kenny Stills, DeVante Parker, Jarvis Landry and Julius Thomas. The Patriots secondary has to plaster down the field and not let these guys separate. If they do and Moore finds them, the Patriots will have problems.

3. Win the Turnover Battle: The Dolphins are a -9 in turnover ratio. That means they turn the all over and don’t generate turnovers. The Patriots should win the turnover battle today and if they do, hopefully they capitalize on them.

4. Pass Pro: The Dolphins can get pressure on opposing quarterbacks with Cameron Wake, Ndamukomg Suh and Charles Harris. The banged up Patriots offensive line will be challenged today, especially in obvious passing situations. Blocking these guys will not be easy.

5. Take Care of Business: Miami is a mess. The Patriots have to take care of business today and get the win. A loss today would be devastating big picture. This is a winnable game and the Patriots need to win it.

Final Thoughts: See #5.
