NCAA Football: Breaking Down the Top Four in College Football

The latest College Football playoff rankings were released last night. Here some thoughts on all four teams.

1.Alabama: Alabama is by far the best team in the country. As long as they don’t stumble between now and the end of the season, there is no reason to believe that they won’t finish number one and the favorite to reclaim the national championship trophy. I truly believe they’ll go back to back.

2. Ohio State: The Buckeyes are in a tough spot. They are in position to make the College Football playoff but will more than likely fail to qualify for the Big Ten Championship game. Ohio State needs to beat Michigan State and Michigan and hope that either Rutgers or Michigan State upsets Penn State. That’s not likely to happen. The Buckeyes will need some help to stay at two.

3. Michigan: The Wolverines remained in the top four despite losing to Iowa last weekend 14-13. Personally, I don’t think they deserve to be in the top four. Their stay could be short lived with quarterback Wilton Speights nursing a broken collarbone.

4. Clemson: Another team that I don’t think deserves to be in the top four. I know they lost a heart breaker to Pitt but they don’t deserve to be in this spot. Louisville should be in this spot. What the hell was the committee thinking? It just doesn’t make any sense??
