Patriots Pulse Preview: New England Patriots (6-1) at Buffalo Bills (4-3)

Storyline: The Patriots will look to avenge a 16-0 week four loss to the Bills today in Buffalo. The Patriots played their last game without Tom Brady in week four but Brady is back and he’s looking to put it on the Bills in this one.

Here are our five keys to today’s game.

1. Get Brady in Rhythm Early: Tom Brady has struggled against Rex Ryan defenses in the past. It is imperative that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels gets him into a rhythm early by calling perimeter screens and three step passes.

2. Pass Protection Must Be Sound: The Patriots offensive line will see all types of exotic pressures today. It is imperative that they pick up the different blitzes and give Brady time to throw the football.

3. Ground Em and Pound Em! The Bills are 27th in the league against the run. They give up an average of 125 yards per game on the ground. Look for the Patriots to run the football early. If McDaniels can mix the run and the pass early in this game, Buffalo will be in trouble.

4. Contain Tyrod Taylor: With LeSean McCoy banged up, the Bills will call more designed runs with Tyrod Taylor. The Patriots must contain Taylor and not allow him to make impact plays outside the pocket.

5. Get Gostkowski On Track: New Era Stadium is a tough place to kick because of the swirling winds. I would feel more confident about Stephen Gostkowski kicking the ball if he kicked it well today in Buffalo.

Prediction: Patriots 35 Bills 17: The Patriots will avenge their Week 4 loss with a win today and head into their bye with a 7-1 record.
