The Daily Script for September 20th 2016

Waxing poetically about all things NFL and college football.

1.All hope is not lost Pats fans! According to ESPN (take it with a grain of salt) Jimmy G could start Thursday night.

2. People need to ease up on the Carson Wentz tongue bathing. He has tremendous upside but he has only played two games in the NFL. Lets not put him in Canton quite yet.

3. The Chicago Bears are an absolute train wreck offensively. Jay Cutler is a mess. The Bears might be better off if Cutler misses time with an injured thumb.

4. There is no way Adrian Peterson plays this week with a torn MCL. Even if he can, the Vikings need to be smart about it and give him the week off.

5. Josh Norman needs to be a satellite corner. You don’t give a guy a $75 million dollar contract to play on only one side of the field. Sorry!

6. Speaking of the Redskins. I think Jay Gruden handled the Kirk Cousin situation after Sunday’s about as poorly as a coach could handle it. The fact that he threw his quarterback under the bus publicly is bad.

7. One has to wonder if Mike McCarthy is actually the coach that will get Aaron Rodgers and the Packers back to the Super Bowl. Both Rodgers and the offense have regressed since last season and it has to do with more than just the absence of Jordy Nelson. its about McCarthy’s play calling.

8. I haven’t really given Rob Ryan any thought recently. That’s why I am starting to get aggravated with hearing Rex defend his brother.

9. Steve Addazio will finish the season as Boston College’s football coach and he can thank the schedule makers for that. On the docket for the Eagles the next two weeks. Wagner and Buffalo. Enough said.

10. USC is making a quarterback change. Redshirt freshmen Sam Darnold is starting this week in place in Max Browne. So its Browne’s fault that USC is struggling offensively? Is that the low SC is towing? Give me a break!
