Nice of you to join us rational people Mr. King.

It took Sports Illustrated’s Peter King almost a year but even he has seen the light. King now believes that the NFL should give the Patriots back the 2016 first round draft choice thy took from them as part of the deflategate punishment handed down by Roger Goodell last spring. King initially defended the league’s decision to strip the Patriots of the pick but apparently he has now seen the light and changed his opinion.

Like most people, King realizes that the league doesn’t have any evidence. It was a witch hunt from the start. The fact that the league is stalling by saying that they need more time to analyze data is further proof that they have nothing.

I found it interesting that King talked about the potential of the Patriots taking legal action to get the pick back. If Bob Kraft were willing to go that route, he would win in court. Tom Brady has already beaten the NFL in court so one more trip to the hollowed halls of justice? It might not be a bad idea.

Peter King is a prominent journalist. When he writes something, people read it and talk about it. People are talking about his latest article on SI.com. That’s a good thing. Maybe Goodell and that stooge of his Dean Blandino will feel the public pressure and finally reveal what ever findings they might have.

As time goes on, the national media will start to come around. Most members of the national media knew the league had nothing but they couldn’t resist the temptation to attack Bill Belichick, Brady and the organization. With King changing his opinion, maybe some of the them will follow suit and change their tune. One can only hope they are smart enough to do that. Im just saying.
