Patriots sign 11 players to Futures Contracts

The Patriots are wasted no time in starting the off-season officially announcing the signing of 11 players to reserve/future contracts.

The list of signees is headlined by defensive lineman Jeremiah Pharms Jr. and Leonard Taylor III, both of whom will look to compete for more permanent roles on the active roster come spring. Joining them on the defensive side of the ball are linebackers Amari Gainer and Otis Reese, along with safety John Saunders Jr.

These signings highlight a clear priority for the Patriots to maintain continuity within their defensive depth and special teams units.

On the offensive side, the Patriots retained offensive linemen Mehki Butler, Lorenz Metz, and Andrew Rupcich to provide valuable competition and size to the offensive line. To bolster the passing game, New England also secured wide receivers John Jiles and Jeremiah Webb, as well as tight end Marshall Lang.

Every player included in this wave of signings finished the season as a member of the New England practice squad. By locking these players in now, the Patriots ensure that these familiar faces will be present for the start of the 2026 workout program, allowing the coaching staff to continue building on the progress made during the previous year’s practices.
