The Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association announced their Divisional All-State Teams for 2025.
The players were selected after a rigorous process which included nominations from MHSFCA member coaches and statistical and film review. In addition, this year the MHSFCA added a specialist position to recognize kickers, punters and returners.
Here are all of the players recognized this season in their respective divisions and some thoughts on them.
Division 1

Thoughts: One of the most talented groups of Division One teams we have had in recent years. Strong across the board. Perhaps the thing that jumps out to me the most is the number of underclassmen in this group. Chris Vargas, Will Wood, Maxwell Parent and Jordan Toribio are among those recognized that return next season.

Division 2
Thoughts: Bishop Feehan had one of the best seasons in years and it showed with seven players on this list. CM was next up with six. Bridgewater-Raynham and Winchester are also well represented after terrific seasons for both programs. A strong senior presence on this team with only six juniors being recognized.
Division 3

Thoughts: There were a lot of good players in Division Three and it is great to see them all get recognized. King Philip won it all and the Warriors got key contributors like Tallen King and Keigan Canto-Osorio on the team. Jack Fabiano was arguably the best running back in the state after a legendary season. D3 might have had the best overall line group with Ronell Armstrong, Liam King, Giovanni Pena and Nathan Rivera. All were really good, especially on defense.
Division 4

Thoughts: Some of the best talent in the state resides on this list. Four quarterbacks is a lot but it speaks to the depth at the position this season in this division. Grayson Foley, Mekhi Volcy and Ryan Brooks were some of the top players in the state and led their teams on deep playoff runs. You also have several very underrated players on this team like Canton’s Jake Marcell and Rhancy Jean-Baptiste.
Division 5

Thoughts: First thing I notice with this group is the running backs with Gustavo Varela and Brady McCormack. Both were high productive backs who had record breaking seasons. The Banda Brothers lead their teams way for Shawsheen who won back to back state titles. Another balanced team that represents this division well.
Division 6

Thoughts: Norwell’s Jack Luccarelli and Tri-County’s Nick O’Brien are the two best skills on this team and they return next season. Both had monster seasons statistically. D6 Champion Fairhaven is well represented upfront with Zach Moura and Josh Viera, two of the best lineman in any division the last two seasons.
Division 7

Thoughts: Another division with a deep quarterback group. Michael Wildfire and Zach Hurd are two of the top signal callers in the state. Camden LaChappelle wrapped up his decorated career with more deserving recognition. The line group was the back bone of many of these programs and these kids deserve the recognition they are getting.
Division 8

Thoughts: A well balanced team with a strong Western, Mass presence. There were some good players in that part of the state this past season and deserve the recognition. The running back on this team are good. Mekhi White had a great career at Randolph and capped it off with a state title. How lucky are we as football fans to be getting another two years of Zach Deschenes? He’s a dude!
