Whitman Hanson hires Bradley Leal as head coach

The coaching carousel continues to turn in New England. Next stop, Whitman Hanson where the school announced on Thursday that they have hired Bradley Leal as the school’s new head football coach.

Leal will take over the Whitman-Hanson program after serving as an assistant at Plymouth South and Pembroke, where he served as defensive coordinator. Leal is excited for the opportunity to lead his own program.

“Having spent over a decade learning from great colleagues, players, and friends, I have seen firsthand that success is a testament to preparation and organization. Everything is earned, not given,” Leal said in a statement. “Now it’s time to build our own program, and we have an excellent opportunity to build something special.”

Leal teaches math in the Plymouth school system and is also the boys’ lacrosse coach at Pembroke.

Athletic Director Bob Rodgers expressed excitement for the hiring in a statement.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Leal to Panther Nation,” said Rodgers. “He brings many years of coaching experience and a genuine commitment to the character-centered philosophy that we hold deeply here at Whitman-Hanson.”

Whitman Hanson finished 1-10 last season and is looking to get back to its winning roots. The program has a rich history of tradition and success.
