Week 3 Dime Package

Trevor Siemien can do more than this for the Broncos as evident by his four touchdown performance yesterday.

1. The Redskins literally saved their season by beating the Giants. No team that has started a season 0-3 has ever made the playoffs. Washington still has hope.

2. So I guess Trevor Siemien is a starting quarterback in the NFL after all. I had him pegged as a handoff specialist.

3. The Cardinals got taken to the woodshed by the Bills. Carson Palmer was awful and the defense wasn’t much better. At 1-2, the Cardinals have been an early season disappointment thus far. If the Redbirds want to live up to the pre-season hype, they need to figure out whatever is ailing them and quickly.

4. Who needs Adrian Peterson when your defense is doing their best impression of the 85 Bears.

5. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for the Cleveland Browns, they made it a point to prove you wrong yesterday by losing to the Dolphins 30-24 in OT. Is there a worse franchise in professional sports right now than the Browns? I seriously cannot think of one.

6. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions today. Let me repeat that. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions today. That is the worst display of quarterbacking I have ever seen. One has to wonder if Fitzpatrick will ever recover from it.

7. The Colts should be 0-3. If the Chargers could make a tackle on T.Y Hilton, they would be 0-3.

8. So I guess this Carson Wentz kid is pretty good huh? I know it’s early but the kid has star quarterback written all over him. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman mortgaged some of the future to get Wentz and the move is paying off thus far.

9. It’s official Rams fans. Your team has an offense. Contrary to what some of you thought, your team is capable of scoring more than 4.5 points per game.

10. The Sunday Night game wasn’t as bad I thought it was going to be. The Bears actually hung in there despite their injury issues and inconsistent quarterback play. Sure, they made the Cowboys look like a Super Bowl contender, but John Fox’s team played hard.
