Uxbridge names Brad Creighton new head coach

The Uxbridge High School athletic department has officially named Brad Creighton as the next Head Football Coach of the Spartans.

The hiring marks a homecoming for Creighton and a seamless transition for a program that has become a powerhouse in Massachusetts high school football. Creighton is a proud member of the Uxbridge Class of 2001, and his deep roots in the community provide him with a unique understanding of the culture and expectations surrounding Spartan athletics.

Since returning to the sidelines as part of the coaching staff in 2020, Creighton has proven himself to be a vital part of the team’s recent dominance. Most recently serving as the Defensive Coordinator, he spearheaded a unit that was foundational to the Spartans’ remarkable run over the last five seasons. His leadership played an integral role in securing back-to-back Division VII State Titles, establishing Uxbridge as a perennial championship contender.

By elevating a coach who has already helped hang banners in the rafters, Uxbridge High School ensures that the championship standard remains established under former coach Matt Blood remains in intact. Creighton’s journey from a student-athlete to a state-champion assistant and now to the head of the program embodies the Uxbridge spirit.

Families and players alike can look forward to a future built on the same defensive grit and local pride that Creighton has championed throughout his tenure with the Spartans.
