
STORRS, CT— The countdown to the 2026 college football season is officially underway for the UConn Huskies, as the university, in partnership with CBS Sports, has unveiled kickoff times and television designations for its upcoming home schedule at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. Fans planning their autumn Saturdays can now lock in their tailgating schedules for a highly anticipated seven-game home slate that features matchups against major powerhouses from the ACC and Big Ten.
The Huskies will officially open their 2026 campaign at home against Lafayette, locked in for a 12:00 noon kickoff.
On Saturday, September 12, the Huskies host the Maryland Terrapins from the Big Ten in a marquee 3:30 pm matchup. Traditional regional rivalries take center stage next, starting with a noon kickoff against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, October 3. Later that month, the schedule offers a change of pace as the annual New England clash with the UMass Minutemen moves under the Friday night lights for a primetime showdown on October 23 at 7:00 pm.
November brings a grueling but exciting three-game homestand to close out the home schedule at The Rent. On Saturday, November 7th the Huskies have a noon kickoff against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The following weekend, on Saturday, November 14, the James Madison Dukes roll into East Hartford for another noon start. UConn will then wrap up its 2026 home slate on Saturday, November 21, hosting the Old Dominion Monarchs with a 3:30 pm kickoff.
In addition to locking in the home dates, UConn also confirmed details for two prominent road games. The Huskies will travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to challenge the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in a 7:00 pm night game, and they will later head out west to face Air Force on Saturday, October 31, for a Halloween afternoon matchup kicking off at 2:00 pm EST.
