Now more than ever, the Renegades have arrived in the New England area.

With dozens of outlets covering the team during yet another championship run, and the Patriots sending the team off to the 2022 title game in style, it’s clear that the Renegades are no longer just an after thought when it comes to football in New England. The most dominant team in the WFA has done nothing but win and because of that, attention on the women’s pro game is reaching new heights, particularly in this area with the start of high school girls flag football and a champion crowned at Gillette.

With that in mind, Renegades running back Katie Falkowski and Director of Content Faith Worrell – who is also the Digital Services Coordinator for the Patriots – have created a new podcast called ‘Playmakers Perspective,’ with the goal of providing analysis on all things NFL.

“The idea for the podcast came from Faith and when she approached me with the idea of a podcast covering the NFL, specifically getting perspectives on the league from women in and around football (players, coaches, etc.), I was immediately excited about the prospect,” Falkowski said in a recent interview. “The more we brainstormed and planned the more excited I got as our vision for Playmakers Perspective grew. Even though it is a side project for us, we both committed to approaching it with professionalism while still just having fun talking about the game we love.”

“I’m just thankful for the opportunity to create a platform and connect the community of women in football,” added Worrell. “Katie is an utmost professional with a high football IQ and drive to succeed, With her, I know Playmaker’s Perspective has a bright future.”

Falkwoski and Worrell both want fans of the show to know that this isn’t being done to “prove” anything to anyone, but it’s an opportunity for them to share their love of the game with a region that absolutely loves this sport, and a generation that may want to pursue a career in it.

“We feel like we have nothing to prove- we’re just excited to talk about the NFL, have guests on to share their perspective on the game, and hopefully create a really fun, engaging podcast that people will enjoy listening to while also getting up to date on what’s going on in and around the NF,” said Falkowski.”

If you’ve ever been to a Renegades game, you know that inclusivity is the most important aspect of their fan experience. Now, Falkowski and Worrell are hoping to create another platform with the same ideals in mind, no matter if you’re a diehard fan of the game or have never watched a quarter in your life.

“To me, a playmaker is someone who elevates the game, who goes in and makes a difference. In a small way, I hope Playmakers Perspective lives up to the moniker, elevating the game and making a positive difference,” Falksowki added. “But also, just be a place where people can come and listen and feel like they are part of our community.”
