We kick off our Top 50 Patriots Prospects preview with Travis Glover, an offensive tackle from Georgia State. He made 57 starts during his career. 35 were at left tackle, 18 at right tackle and 4 at left guard.
Glover’s versatility is his trade mark and it is why he was a first team All Sun Belt last season.

Initial Quicks: Glover gets off the ball quickly for his size. Plays with good explosion and fits into defenders. Average bender who gets good movement on contact but needs to play lower.
Run Block: Plays with good leverage and balance. Fits into blocks and gets movement on contact. Glover is strong. He wins on drive blocks but will struggle at times to get his hat outside on reach blocks.
Pass Block: Good short area pass blocker. Glover sets quick, moves well laterally and can punch and recoil. He has a tendency to give up the corner against speed rushers who can win with their first step and lean.
Pull & Trap: Wasn’t asked to pull much. Average movement laterally when run reaching or jump setting a defender.
Use of Hands: Glover has strong hands. Once he latches in, it is tough for a defender to disengage. A true strength of his game.
Strength: A massive man who can win against bigger defensive lineman, especially inside. Gets movement and runs his feet through contact. Can anchor down in short area pass pro and stone bull rushers.
Explosion: Finishes blocks at the contact point but he is not explosive out of his stance. Has good pop but tends to play high at times and catches defensive lineman.
Long Snap: Glover has never played center and based on his bio, he has never long snapped.
Final Report: The Patriots met with Glover at the Hula Bowl and his pro day. His versatility as a swing lineman will appeal to teams. He needs to slim down and play more athletic, especially in space.
Glover profiles more as a long term back up and could end up making a career for himself in that type of role.
