Stutts played guard at Auburn. He played in 31 games with 25 starts (18 at RG, 7 at LG). He has good size and length and plays with good power as a run blocker.
Here is my scouting report on Stutts.
Kameron Stutts, OG, 6-4 319, Auburn
Initial Quicks: Gets off the ball with decent quickness. Engages defenders at the contact point and can reset the line of scrimmage. Stutts has struggled with quicker three technique types who can win with speed and lean.
Run Block: Physical run blocker who plays with a good pad level and bend. Gets inside hand position and gets movement on defenders. Effective single and double team blocker. Stutts can be heavy footed at times and give up his outside shoulder.
Pass Block: Good short area pass blocker who sets up quick and can hold up against bill rushers. Moves well enough laterally that he can the edge off of a speed rusher. Lateral quickness is average so he does struggle at times with picking up T-E stunts.
Pull & Trap: Stutts pulled on pin and pull plays. He stays tight to the double team and can get up the hole consistently. Struggles with hitting moving targets.
Use of Hands: Stutts has strong hands. Once he gets inside hand position, he can win. Needs to do a better job of playing within the frame work of defenders.
Strength: Stutts is a power player. It is how he wins one on one. He can move the pile and he does a good job of dropping his hips and anchoring down against bull rushers in pass pro.
Explosion: Stutts is not explosive. He gets out of his stance well enough for his size but there are times he will catch defenders, especially when moving laterally.
Final Report: Stutts profiles as a back at both guard spots. Given the Patriots recent success at drafting offensive lineman late, they might be into something with Stutts. He isn’t getting much attention. The team met with him at the Tropical Bowl.
Draft Range: 6th-UDFA
