Top 16 college poll – Week 3

Another week of great games in New England Division One Football. B.C almost knocked off Florida State. Holy Cross and UNH bounced back from losses by earning wins. URI and Stonehill continued to impress. This week should be another great week of action.

Here is our Top 16 for this week.

1. Holy Cross (2-1)- Crusaders bounce back from a tough loss to B.C by picking up a statement win against Yale. Colgate is up next.

2. New Hampshire (2-1)- Wildcats beat Dartmouth in a competitive Granite State Bowl. UNH travels to Delaware for a Saturday night showdown.

3. Rhode Island (2-1)- Rams win in Orono for the first time since 1998. A trip to Villanova is up next.

4, Harvard (1-0)- Crimson open season with an impressive win over St. Thomas. Next up is a date with a much improved Brown squad on Friday Night.

5. Yale (0-1)- After a tough loss to Holy Cross, the Bulldogs will host Cornell on Saturday.

6.Boston College (1-2)- Could had every opportunity to knock off Florida State but a school record 18 penalties cost them the game. The Eagles hit the road for the first time this week when they travel to Louisville.

7. Stonehill (2-1)- Skyhawks make a jump in the poll after an impressive win at Georgetown. They visit Fordham on Saturday.

8.Brown (1-0)- Saturday’s win over Bryant might be the most significant win of the James Perry era. Bears will look to go 2-0 on Friday night when they visit Harvard.

9. Merrimack (1-2)- Warriors got in the ein column for the first this season and will look to continue their winning ways when they visit Wagner on Saturday.

10. Dartmouth (0-1)- Big Green played tough against UNH but just didn’t have enough to keep up. They host Lehigh in the home opener on Saturday.

11. Central Connecticut State (1-2)-Blue Devils fell behind early against Kent State and could not rebound. They have a bye this week.

12. Bryant (1-2)- After heartbreaking loss to Brown, the Bulldogs have no time to feel sorry for themselves. They travel to Princeton this week.

13. UMass (1-3)- Minutemen should have beaten Eastern Michigan. Plain and simple. They return home this week to take on New Mexico.

14. UConn (0-3)- I cannot explain Saturday’s loss or the 0-3 start. It is mind boggling to me. Duke visits the Rent on Saturday.

15. Maine (0-3)- Black Bears hung in there for three quarters but URI pulled away eventually. Black Bears travel to William & Mary on Saturday.

16. Sacred Heart (0-3)- Pios struggles on offense continued in a tough loss to Wagner. They travel to St. Francis this weekend who is also winless.
