Top 16 Division One Poll for Week 8

Rams maintain the top spot while Harvard and Dartmouth make big jumps in this week’s poll.

Here is our Top 16 for Week 8.

1. Rhode Island (6-1): Rams win at UNH for the first time since 1995. Jim Fleming’s squad is in a good position in the CAA.

2. Harvard (4-1): Crimson win a shootout over Holy Cross. The offense is legitimate.

3. Dartmouth (5-0): Big Green makes a big jump. Hard fought win over CCSU.

4. UConn (4-3): Huskies drop one spot after a tough loss to Wake Forest. Rice visits the Rent this week.

5. Boston College (4-3): Eagles loss to Virginia Tech on Thursday night. Bill O’Brien’s team needs a win on Friday night against Louisville at home.

6. New Hampshire (4-3): Wildcats still have plenty to play for after loss to URI. Need to bounce back this week at Villanova.

7. Yale (3-2): Yale rebounds with a big win over Lehigh. Next up, a trip to Penn.

8. Maine (4-3): Huge home win for the Black Bears over Villanova. Big test this week at URI.

9. CCSU (3-4): Blue Devils continue to play tough. Still have a shot to win the NEC. They travel to Long Island this week.

10. Holy Cross (3-5): Crusaders prove they getting better after tough 35-34 loss at Harvard.

11. Merrimack (3-4): Warriors have won two in a row after shootout win over Stonehill. Warriors host Colgate on Saturday.

12. Brown (2-3): Bears have lost three in a row after a tough loss to Princeton. Next up, Cornell.

13. Bryant (2-5): It does not get any easier for the Bulldogs as they host a Richmond team that just beat Delaware.

14. Sacred Heart (3-5): Pios lose 31-17 to Lafayette. Host Mercyhurst on Saturday.

15. Stonehill (1-5): Stonehill will look to right the ship after a loss to Merrimack. Won’t be easy with Duquesne in town.

16. UMass (1-6): Minutemen were idle. Host Wagner on Saturday.
