By Ryan Martin NEFJ Correspondent MALDEN – In a Mother’s Day double-header, the Northwest Knights rolled through the MetroWest Maulers 24-7 before the Boston Junkyard Dogs beat the Southwest Cobras 17-7 during The League play. The 2-1 Knights and 3-0 Junkyard Dogs now sit atop of The League, New England’s premier spring ball league for local high schoolers, while the Maulers (1-2) and Cobras (0-3) each fell. Junkyard Dogs & Knights earn impressive wins in Week 2 of The League

On a perfect evening for football, The Boston Junkyard Dogs rolled over the MetroWest Maulers 48-7 and the Northwest Knights took down the Southwest Cobras 21-0. The win for the JYD moved them to 2-0 in the four-team spring league – the only true spring ball league for high schoolers in New England – while the Knights moved to 1-1.
