We were over in Amherst Saturday at UMass’ first padded practice of the spring, and we were far from the only visitors on hand to watch the Minutemen. Over the last five years, few programs have made bigger gains that Springfield Central. Since 2018, the Golden Eagles have won two Division 3 state titles, and a Div. 1 crown in 2021.
