DAVIS, Calif. — The Rhode Island Rams saw their 11-win season come to a halt on Saturday night, falling to the No. 8 seeded UC Davis Aggies, 47-26, in the second round of the FCS Playoffs. Despite holding a lead in the second quarter, the No. 9 Rams were unable to contain a dominant second-half surge from the Aggies, who scored 36 unanswered points to take full control of the game.
Kickoff: Rhode Island is hosting Central Connecticut State in the FCS playoffs for the second straight year. The Rams survived to advance against the Blue Devils last season. Both teams learned from that experience and are battle tested this time around. Expect another tight game that will come down who gets the key stops in the fourth quarter.
