DAVIS, Calif. — The Rhode Island Rams saw their 11-win season come to a halt on Saturday night, falling to the No. 8 seeded UC Davis Aggies, 47-26, in the second round of the FCS Playoffs. Despite holding a lead in the second quarter, the No. 9 Rams were unable to contain a dominant second-half surge from the Aggies, who scored 36 unanswered points to take full control of the game.
FCS Playoff Preview: Central Connecticut State Blue Devils (8-4) at Rhode Island Rams (10-2)
Kickoff: Rhode Island is hosting Central Connecticut State in the FCS playoffs for the second straight year. The Rams survived to advance against the Blue Devils last season.
