After a historic 2025 season, Avon Old Farms will look to make history again this season. Jon Wholley’s squad features several key contributors from last season’s team. Quarterback Matt Baer, a James Madison commit headlined the returning senior class. Baer had a big season statistically and he is primed for an even bigger season this fall.
Former Xaverian standout Christian McIntyre and his family decided that he wanted another year of development. When it came time to picking a school that would help him meet his potential, he looked at two schools. One of them was Avon Old Farms and after visiting both schools, McIntyre settled on Avon.
Since coming to Avon Old Farms, Jon Wholley has taken the Connecticut school to the top of the NEPSAC football world. Last season, AOF went 7-3 and lost a NEPSAC bowl to Cheshire Academy.
