We had a chance to chat with St. Mark’s wide receiver Logan Prock. Prock is one of the best kept secrets in New England and a player that is starting to get the attention of college coaches.

Here is our conversation with Logan Prock.

NEFJ: Talk about your football journey. When did you start playing football? What attracted you to the sport?

LP: “I started playing football in 4th grade. I always used to watch football games on the tv when I was younger and loved the sport immediately. My parents finally let me play in 4th grade.”

NEFJ: When did you start playing a skill position? When did you realize you can be a playmakers?

LP: “I started playing a skill position in 6 grade, before that they played me at left tackle and edge on defense. I realized that I was pretty tall for my age and I loved watching receivers catch the ball and I thought I could do the same.”

NEFJ: Describe how much of a role your family has played in your development? Why do you think it is important to have that support?

LP: “My dad has played a huge role in my development. He has always pushed me to do better, whether that be by yelling or not, he wants me to perfect my craft. I think if I didn’t have him I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

NEFJ: When you’re not doing anything football related, what do you like to do off the field? Favorite hobbies, activities etc.

LP: “When I’m not playing football, I play golf a lot and I also love to fish. There is a river in my backyard so I have been fishing for as long as I can remember.”

NEFJ: What is your go to meal before a game? Is it the same thing every week?

LP: “I usually eat a lot of carbs the night before a game, but not too much the day of. I’ll have a banana and maybe a granola bar, but I do drink a lot of water. However, this may change week to week.”

NEFJ: It is ten minutes before kickoff, what are you listening to get you hyped before you go out and play?

LP: “I like to listen to some Kanye or J Cole before games usually. But if I’m really hyped, I’ll put on Treaty Oak Revival.”

NEFJ: What are your personal and team goals for the 2026 season and how do you go about accomplishing them?

LP: “My personal goals for the 2026 season are to be a leader on my team no matter the title and to make the most impact I can on the field whether that be on offense or defense. My team goals for this year are to go undefeated, plain and simple. We almost had it last year and this year we are going for a division title, first in school history.”

NEFJ: What is one thing you want the college programs that are recruiting you to know about you?

LP: “Colleges should know that I lead by example on the field and lift my teammates up. I also push them to be the best versions of themselves even if it sounds harsh. Personally, I know that I have great hands and can grab the ball wherever it is thrown. I have good body control in the air and I am not afraid to put my body on the line.”
