Overall view: The Warriors will be returning a talented group of players headlined by King who is an FCS caliber prospect. He can play running back, outside linebacker and defensive end. King is the Warriors best returning lineman and he profiles more as a defensive tackle at the next level. Gebhard is one of the more underrated signal callers in the state and is primed for a big season. He has the size and he passes the eye test. Canto is a shifty scatback who can make defenders miss in space but he also runs with good power and balance. Crisci is an experienced center who started as a junior and has the size and the room to develop further at the next level. Danson will get time at multiple positions and his best football could be ahead of him. McDonald profiles as a Y/X combo who can align in multiple spots and be moved around as a chess piece at the next. His frame allows him room to grow physically. McGrath started to carve a role for the Warriors last season and is their top returning receiver. Chatham is player to keep an eye in terms of physical development. He could kick inside to guard at the next level. Terio and Alvezi are players to watch in the future.
Coach’s comment on the returning group: “Tallan’s size and speed make him incredibly versatile. You can literally put him anywhere on the field and he’ll have a huge impact. We have plan on giving him the ball a lot. Liam is a true two-way lineman. He won’t come off the field for us. Strong enough to play eye to eye or in a three technique but athletic enough to move out to the end as well. Geb did a great job taking over for McLeish last year led the team to a 12-1 season. Great pocket passer who has the height and arm to make big play. Nate is one of the strongest players we’ve ever had benching 335, squatting 550 . He was the anchor for us last year. He has a great football I.Q and leadership skills. Canto runs with great vision, as well as power and athleticism . Great hands catching the ball out of the backfield. He will be one of our two featured backs. Terio tracks to be a two-way starter at corner and wide receiver. Will also back up quarterback. Danson is our third and last Danson brother. Great football I.Q and versatile. We will move him around from defensive end to inside linebacker on defense. He will play fullback and tight end on offense. Brodie will be used as our in-line tight end. We can also put him in the slot or even split him out. Big target in great hands. Makes him a nice weapon for Gebby. He will also play defense outside linebacker and rush defense end McGrath has so much potential and upside. Projects to be our number one receiver and primary target on offense. Great length and vertical jump to go along with her excellent hands. Lex has exploded this off-season in the weight room. The size and strength will help him as he plays both offense and defense effective at office of tackle for us. Connor has speed, speed and more speed. Projects to start in the secondary for us as a sophomore and see time in the backfield as well.”
