Recruiting: Finding the right camp is the key to getting noticed

It is camp season in football. That means thousands of prospects across the country will be attending football camps ahead of their football season.

When making the decision to attend a camp, it is all about finding a camp where you can get the most eyes on you and to get better.

FBS or D1 college camps are a great way to get noticed because there are coaches from several other programs there. The coaching is excellent. However, if you have aspirations of playing at the next level and you are more of a D2 or D3 level player, target camps where there will be more coaches from those schools in attendance.

If you want a bigger camp where there will be coaches from a bunch of different schools there, then you should consider attending the Elite Football Camp or the Best of New England Camp. Both are excellent. The Elite Football Camp is especially good for players who intend to play locally. There are several Division 2 and 3 coaches in attendance.

Coach Papas and his staff do a great job of emphasizing football not just working out. They want college coaches that are there to see you in a football specific environment. That is why participants wear helmets and shoulder pads at the camp.

If you are being recruited by a specific school, attending their camp is a must. You want to get in front of that staff and prove to them that you are worthy of a scholarship offer.

If you already have an offer, attending the camp is a good way to reconnect with the coach or coaches recruiting you and to re-affirm your commitment to the school.

Finally. Individual camps are another way to get noticed. Especially if you are a quarterback. M2 Quarterback Academy and Complete Quarterback are two of the best quarterback camps in the country in terms of technique and development.
