A large chunk of the local and national football world will be in Chestnut Hill on Monday morning.

Boston College is set to host its Pro Day. With 27 NFL franchises set to be represented, along with teams from the UFL and dozens of local and national reporters, BC will be quite a popular place to be.

From a Patriots perspective, there’s a few names that could be intriguing pick ups late on day two or any time on day three that could help fortify the depth on the roster.

The first name that comes to mind is Lewis Bond, who will unquestionably be working out with a chip on his shoulder after getting snubbed with no NFL Combine invite. After setting multiple BC receiving records as a senior, Bond went on to have an excellent NFL Senior Bowl. Now, he’s got a chance to really show out with NFL eyes on him from all over.

Offensive linemen Jude Bowry, Logan Taylor and Kevin Cline could all be interesting depth options for a Pats’ O-line that certainly needs some adding.

Bowry had an excellent NFL Combine while Taylor will probably want to improve on some of his numbers with a strong work out on Monday. Cline is sort of an under-the-radar guy who – if he has a good day – could suddenly start getting discussed within various NFL buildings, mostly because of his size and ability to play across the line.

Defensively, Q Hutchins would be an excellent fit for a New England defense that’s still looking to upgrade its pass rush. Hutchins sort of exploded on the scene a bit when he had a couple viral videos from the Senior Bowl, putting an O-lineman on his backside during a pass rush drill. Hutchins’ speed and football IQ would fit well in a Mike Vrabel/Zak Kuhr defensive scheme.
