WEEK 1 – SUNDAY 9/10 – vs. Philadelphia (4:25)
Loss: I’d like to think that with the GOAT in the house, that will inspire the Patriots. It will but in the end, the Eagles are the best team in the NFC and are just too talented. They will win what should be an entertaining game.
WEEK 2 – SUNDAY 9/17 – vs. Miami (8:20)
Win: Pardon me for not being as bullish on the Dolphins as some but this is a winnable game for the Patriots despite having never beaten Tua Tagovailoa in his career. They pick up their first win of the season in front of a national audience.
WEEK 3 – SUNDAY 9/24 @ NY Jets (1:00)
Loss: I am going back and forth on this one but ultimately I think Rodgers and the Jets get the best of the Patriots in the first meeting.
WEEK 4 – SUNDAY 10/1 @ Dallas (4:25)
Loss: The Cowboys are good and they are especially tough at home. Dallas won here two years ago when these two teams last met. This will be a different Dallas offense with Mike McCarthy calling the plays. If nothing else, they will be more explosive.

WEEK 5 – SUNDAY 10/8 vs. New Orleans (1:00)
Win: Patriots bounce back after back to back losses and pick up a much needed win against a Saints team that is middle of the pack in the NFC.
WEEK 6 – SUNDAY 10/15 @ Las Vegas (4:05)
Win: The Patriots won’t throw away this year’s game against the Raiders. New England gets to .500 with a big road win against old friend Josh McDaniels.
WEEK 7 – SUNDAY 10/22 vs. Buffalo (1:00)
Loss: The Patriots just don’t match up. I think this will be a competitive game, but in the end, the Bills have a talent edge at too many key positions.
WEEK 8 – SUNDAY 10/29 @ Miami (1:00)
Loss: It’s Miami and the Patriots struggles there are well documented. What else needs to be said.
WEEK 9 – SUNDAY 11/5 vs. Washington (1:00)
Win: Patriots come back home and pick up a much needed win against a Washington team that is talented but underachieving.
WEEK 10 – SUNDAY 11/12 vs. Indianapolis in Germany (9:30 A.M.): Win: Pats get to .500 with a win over the fledgling Colts in Frankfurt.
WEEK 11 – BYE WEEK
Patriots are 5-5 at the bye but will need a strong finish to make the playoffs. The bye comes at the right time.
WEEK 12 – SUNDAY 11/26 @ NY Giants (1:00)
Loss: Two weeks to prepare for old friend Brian Daboll won’t be enough as the hated Giants squeak out a win over the Patriots.
WEEK 13 – SUNDAY 12/3 vs. Los Angeles Chargers (1:00)
Win: The Chargers are supremely overrated to me. I think this has the makings of a really good game but one the Patriots should win at home in December.
WEEK 14 – THURSDAY 12/7 @ Pittsburgh (8:15)
Win: The Steelers are in the same boat as the Patriots. Both teams will be fighting for their playoff lives but in the end, the Patriots get it done.
WEEK 15 – MONDAY 12/18 vs. Kansas City (8:15)
Loss: There will be plenty at stake for both teams but in the end, Mahomes and company are just too good for the Patriots.
WEEK 16 – SUNDAY 12/24 @ Denver (8:15)
Win: Bah humbug on Christmas Eve games. I do not understand why the NFL would schedule a game on the one night of the year people don’t watch television? Despite that, Pats go to Denver and pick up a crucial win.
WEEK 17 – SUNDAY 12/31 @ Buffalo (1:00)
Loss: Again, Buffalo has become the Patriots Achilles Heel. They are too big a mountain to overcome. Hard to believe after how much the Patriots dominated them for years.
WEEK 18 – TBD vs. NY Jets (TBD)
Win: Patriots face a possible win and get in scenario against Rodgers and the Jets. They win but whether they get in the playoffs remains to be seen.
Projected Record: 9-8
