Pirates Preview: San Diego Strike Force (3-12) at Massachusetts Pirates (10-5)

The Pirates wrap up the regular season at home tonight against the San Diego Strike Force. The Pirates have secured a home playoff game next week in the first round of the IFL playoffs.

Before they get there however, they need to beat the Strike Force. The Pirates won the first match up between these two teams in Week 7 51-30.

Here are three keys for the Pirates tonight.

1. Come out if it healthy: The big key is to come out of this game healthy. The Pirates are better team. They should take care of business tonight and come out of the game healthy.

2. Get the passing game going: The Pirates passing game needs to be more efficient. A good showing tonight through the air would give the offense momentum heading into the playoffs.

3. Get the swagger back on D: The Pirates need to get their swagger back on defense. Defense wins championships. As good as the offense was in last year’s title run, the defense made some big plays along the way to secure the title. The defense will once again to play well if the Pirates are going to make another run in the playoffs.

Final Prediction: Pirates 54 Strike Force 30: The Pirates will take care of business and finish the regular season with a win. Again, coming out of this game healthy is paramount. Massachusetts will need all hands on deck starting next week.
