The 26 year old Addington was signed to the practice squad in December after spending time last season between the USFL’s Houston Gamblers and the Dallas Cowboys. He went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Sam Houston State He was promoted to the active roster at the end of last season after as veteran Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona landed on injured reserve. Addington played in the final three games.
Wells, 24, most recently played for the St. Louis Battlehawks of the XFL this past spring. In 10 games, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound linebacker recorded 45 tackles and 3.5 sacks. He spent time last season with the Cincinnati Bengals who signed him as undrafted free agent out of Colorado.
