FOXBOROUGH- The New England Patriots completed an extensive series of roster moves today to meet the mandatory 53-man roster limit, finalizing 36 player releases alongside a trade and several reserve list placements.

To bolster their offensive front, New England acquired offensive lineman Walter Rouse and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick from the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick. Rouse, 25, was originally selected by Minnesota in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. The 6-foot-6, 314-pound lineman brings additional size and depth to the roster, having appeared in eight games over his first two NFL seasons.

In addition to the trade, the Patriots managed several key health-related roster distinctions by placing tackle Marcus Bryant on Injured Reserve, linebacker Harold Landry III on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List, and safety Brenden Schooler on the Non-Football Injury (NFI) List.

The team cleared room for the final roster by releasing 36 players:

Offensive Line: Mehki Butler, Jack Conley, Darrian Dalcourt, James Hudson III, Lorenz Metz, Joe Michalski, JonDarius Morgan, and Jacob Rizy.

Skill Positions: Running backs JaMycal Hasty, Lan Larison, and Jam Miller; tight ends C.J. Dippre and Jack Westover; receivers Nick DeGennaro, Kyle Dixon, Cameron Dorner, and Tejhaun Palmer.

Defense & Special Teams: Linebackers Amari Gainer, Xavier Holmes, Jesse Luketa, Chad Muma, Bradyn Swinson, and Riley Wilson; defensive linemen Eric Gregory, Isaiah Iton, Jeremiah Pharms Jr., and Casey Rogers; defensive backs Mike Brown, Eric Butler, Brandon Crossley, Marcellas Dial Jr., Peter Manuma, Kobee Minor, John Saunders Jr., and Kindle Vildor; and punter Matt Haack.
