Can we please put BengalGate to rest. The Patriots recorded footage for a documentary, not to spy on a team that has gone 2-19 in their last 21 games. Why would they want to steal the signals of a team that struggles to score points or stop anyone in a weekly basis?

If this were any other team, this would be a non story. The national media has made it a story because it is the Patriots and the perception of the Patriots is that they cheat.

Of course the national talk shows are loving this. Some talking heads have suggested stripping the Patriots of draft picks while others have suggested that the legacies of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have been further tarnished and that this might impact their hall of fame status some day. GIVE ME A BREAK!

The national media hates the Patriots and this latest incident gives them the ammo they need to push the “Patriots are cheaters” agenda on their shows.

The reality is, nothing happened. The Patriots didn’t cheat and they don’t need to cheat to beat any team in the league let alone the Bengals.

It is time we stop wasted time on this nonsense. It is getting old. The Patriots have won for the past twenty years because of great ownership, coaching, quarterback play and talent. Not by stealing signals from the worst teams in the league.

Move on folks. There is nothing to see here.
