PATRIOTS 3 BILLS 0 10:02 1ST QTR

  • PEPPERS! Great job of under cutting and baiting Allen into that pick. Came off number two and got underneath Knox.
  • Great to see Douglas getting involved early. Get him perimeter touches. He needs to 10-15 touches per game.
  • Douglas again. Gets the first down and draws the penalty. Keep feeding the kid. He’s not young anymore.

*TOUCHDOWN! Ezekiel Elliott from 2 yards out. LIKE I SAID IN THE GAME PLAN. KEEP RUNNING INSIDE!!! They are soft without Milano.

PATRIOTS 10 BILLS 0 6:58 1ST QTR

  • Buffalo sloppy early. A total role reversal from what we have seen thus far this season.
  • The flaw of NFL defenses. Bentley on Cook outside is a mismatch all day long.
  • Diggs makes it hard to play against him on the outside. Terrific release and he is a great route runner.
  • Buffalo has found something with these perimeter screens. Taking advantage of the way the Patriots are aligning.
  • Patriots catch a huge break on the OPI on Murray.

PATRIOTS 10 BILLS 0 END OF 2ND QTR

  • Patriots need to hold them to a field goal here. Great momentum. Great quarter!
  • Like I said in my Patriots game plan. In certain situations, you have to spy Allen with Phillips. Patriots were in dime extra with 7 defensive backs. Phillips at MIKE Backer spying Allen.

PATRIOTS 10 BILLS 3 2ND QTR

  • Bass hits a 36 yard field goal to get the Bills on the board.
  • Patriots need to maintain momentum here. A good drive would help.
  • And there goes that! 3 and out for the Patriots.
  • JACK JONES is out there. Give the Patriots another defensive back that they can mix and match against this Buffalo passing game.
  • Great job by Mac there. Saw the edge pressure, stepped up and delivered on the crossing route.
  • Tough to run Duo out of gun when they are brining so much edge pressure. Can’t account for the late guy off the edge.

CHAD RYLAND 24 YARD FIELD:

PATRIOTS 13 BILLS 3 7: 33 2ND QTR

  • Bills doing a good job of isolating Bentley in space. He just can’t match-up.
  • Nice Snag concept there by Buffalo. Kincaid runs the route and goes for 14 yards.
  • BARMORE!! He is as talented as any defensive tackle in the NFL. Just needs to be more consistent.
  • BASS MISSES THE 42 YARD FIELD. WIDE RIGHT!

  • First Mac moment of the game. What the hell was that?????

HALFTIME: PATRIOTS 13 BILLS 3: Patriots best half of the season. Good plan, the offense looks in rhythm. Defense playing well. Bending but not breaking. The Patriots need a stop out of the gate to start the third. Cannot let them get any momentum.

  • Not a good start for the defense. The iffy roughing the passer doesn’t help.

TOUCHDOWN BUFFALO: Allen to Cook for an 8 yard touchdown pass.

PATRIOTS 13 BILLS 10 9:53 3RD QTR

  • Blown opportunity at the end of the first half for the Patriots comes back to bite them in the rear end. Need a score now otherwise they could lose momentum.
  • Vintage Patriots there on the crosser to Henry. Fake counter, hit the tight end on the crosser.
  • Last week I called for more diversity in the running game. We’re finally getting it.

  • Needed that stop. Dugger whiffing on Murray is tough.
  • Anfernee Jennings has been one of the Patriots most consistent defnders. Cannot afford to lose him.

PATRIOTS 16 BILLS 10: END OF 3RD QTR

  • HUGE STOP on 4th & 2. Patriots defense has been elite today so far. Not giving them anything down the field. J.C Jackson has done a terrific job on Diggs.

TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS! Kendrick Bourne 4 yard touchdown catch. 2 PT ATTEMPT NO GOOD.

  • Mac Jones was fantastic on that drive. the 19 yard pass to Pop Douglas was his best throw of the day.
