The Patriots announced five personnel changes to the front office for the upcoming season.
Alonzo Highsmith was hired as a senior personnel executive, Casey Belongia joined the staff as an area scout (Midwest), Bob Kronenberg was hired as a pro scout and A.J. Richardson and Landon Simpson were hired as scouting assistants.
The team also announced that four members of the scouting department received promotions. four members of the staff received promotions. Patrick Stewart has been promoted to director of pro personnel, Sam Fioroni has been promoted to assistant director of pro personnel, Marshall Oium has been promoted to director of football strategy and Marquis Dickerson was promoted to a pro scout.
The changes are all part of a revamped front office and scouting department under Executive Vice President of Football Operations Eliot Wolf. The Patriots have beefed up their scouting department and front office which were both among the smallest in the NFL.
The on field staff features 29 coaches including Jerod Mayo. It is 31 coaches if you include Troy Brown and Joe Kim who will both serve in developmental roles.
Adding more staff was a priority after the departure of Bill Belichick and the Patriots really beefed up their staff across the board.
