UConn ready to cap off another great season with a win over Army

BOSTON- The UConn Huskies are back in the Fenway Bowl and they are ready to make a statement and earn their first double digit win season since 1998. The only 10 win season in program history.

It won’t be easy as the Huskies who are down several players including quarterback Joe Fagnano and two starting offensive lineman in Carsten Cassidy and Ben Murawski. Fagnano threw for over 3,400 yards and had 31 touchdowns on the season. He also only turned the football over once.

The Super 26 all-state team selections have been revealed. All players on this team will be honored March 1 in a dinner co-sponsored by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston and MHSFCA at the Burlington Marriott.

The team is littered with multi-year players who were record breakers in high school. It is an impressive group of young men who have made their presence felt the past four years.
