The transfer portal has been open for almost a week now and Boston College has been busy. Part of that is because the program had upwards of 25 departures into the portal, but after a 2-10 season, the roster needed a serious makeover. Toledo quarterback Kalieb Osborne transfers to UConn

The Huskies may have found their starting quarterback for the 2026 season and beyond. Freshmen signal caller Kalieb Osborne has officially committed to transfer from Toledo to UConn.

Osborne follows new Huskies head coach Jason Candle, who previously coached Osborne at Toledo and played a pivotal role in his initial recruitment.

Eagles land their first quarterback from the portal in Saginaw Valley State’s Mason McKenzie

Boston College picked up its second transfer portal commitment on Sunday with Saginaw Valley State quarterback Mason McKenzie committing to the Eagles.

McKenzie had several schools pursing him in the portal including Northwestern, Temple and Colorado State but Boston College was linked to him early on and he committed to Bill O’Brien and the Eagles.

Eagles get a commitment from Buffalo EDGE Demetrius Ballard

Boston College got their second commitment in two days on Sunday when Buffalo EDGE Demetrius Ballard committed to the Eagles.

The 6’6 255 pound Ballard redshirted in 2024 after appearing in just two games. This past season, as a redshirt freshman, Ballard racked up 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.
