URI now the hunted in the CAA after back-to-back conference titles

The University of Rhode Island kicks off fall camp on Monday. Expectations are one sky high for the Rams who were picked to finish first again in the conference preseason poll. Needless to say, there is no longer any room for Rhode Island to fly under the radar.

The Rams find themselves in an unfamiliar yet earned position: they are no longer the hunters, but the hunted. Coming off back-to-back Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) championships and entering the campaign as the preseason favorite to complete a three-peat, URI opens practice carrying the biggest target in the conference, something the Rams embrace.

Bishop Fenwick wins Northeast 7-on-7 East Super Regional

PEABODY – Football season doesn’t start for a few more months, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t championships to be won and hardware to bring home in the meantime.

The East Super Regional 7 v 7 Tournament was held on Saturday at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, MA. The event was presented by Gold Athletics, and teams from 40 different schools across the state competed around an action-packed day filled with big plays and surprising upsets.
