NFL: Week 4 Picks

By John Sarianides

Here are my week four picks. I am extremely confident this week people. I am expecting a big week for myself.

10/1 9:30 AM New Orleans -3 At Miami (London) 50.5: I’m taking the Saints in this one. Their offense is explosive and they can score on anyone and the Dolphins look lost right now.

10/1 1:00 ET At New England -9 Carolina 49: The Patriots screwed me last week when I took them as a double digit home favorite. I’m a glutton for punishment. I’m taking them as a home favorite again even though the number is big.

10/1 1:00 ET At Dallas -6.5 LA Rams 48.5: Dallas is a different team at home than on the road. That being, the Sean McVay Rams can score points. Dallas wins this game but the Rams cover as a road dog.

10/1 1:00 ET At Minnesota -2 Detroit 42.5: The Lions won in Minnesota last season but traditionally they have struggled in the land of a thousand lakes. That’s why I’m putting my money on the Vikings. Defense prevails.

10/1 1:00 ET Tennessee -2.5 At Houston 44: The Titans are the sexy pick to win the AFC South. I had my reservations at first but I’m starting to come around to that notion. I’m taking them in this game. The number is just right for a road favorite.

10/1 1;00 ET Jacksonville -3 At NY Jets 38.5: I’m still in shock that the Jets beat the Dolphins last week. I’m equally shocked that the Jags pounded the Ravens in London last week. I’m going to take the Jags as a road dog but with some trepidation.

10/1 1:00 ET Cincinnati -3 At Cleveland 41.5: The Bengals gave the Packers a scare last week but choked down the stretch. Despite losing, the Bengals have to feel more confident and that confidence should carry over into this week. I’m taking them in this one as a road favorite.

10/1 1:00 ET Pittsburgh -3 At Baltimore 42.5: One of the best rivalries in the NFL is renewed today. Pittsburgh has not traditionally played well in Baltimore so based on that, I’m putting my money on the Ravens as a home dog.

10/1 1:00 ET At Atlanta -8 Buffalo 48.5: The 3-0 Falcons are getting no love and it’s weird. I don’t see them going through a Super Bowl hangover folks. I like them a lot today as a home favorite against a feisty Bills team.

10/1 4:05 ET At Tampa Bay -3 NY Giants 44.5: The Bucs got demolished last week in Minnesota and will look to bounce back at home today. Tampa hosts the Giants today and the Patriots on Thursday night so we’ll see if they are really a contender. As for this one, I am taking Tampa as a home favorite.

10/1 4:05 ET At LA Chargers -2 Philadelphia 47.5: The Chargers are not as bad as their 0-3 record would indicate. They are top ten in offense and defense in the NFL. I think they upset the Eagles today and pick up their first win.

10/1 4:05 ET At Arizona -6.5 San Francisco 44.5: The Niners never play well in Arizona and I don’t see that changing today. This could end up being an old fashion shootout. Neither team plays great defense so we could see a 42-38 type of game. Arizona wins but I’m taking the Niners at +6.5.

10/1 4:25 ET At Denver -3 Oakland 46: We’ll see if the Raiders are as legit as we think they are. The Broncos are still the measuring stick in the AFC West. As for this one, I like Denver as a home favorite. They’ll win 20-17.

10/1 8:30 ET At Seattle -13 Indianapolis 41.5: Why does Vegas like to install the Seahawks as double digit favorites at home? They can’t score! I think they’ll win today but it’ll closure than you think. I’m taking the Colts at +13.

Monday Night Football Line

10/2 8:30 ET At Kansas City -7 Washington 49.5: I’m on the Chiefs train hard core. I really believe they are a legit contender in the AFC. I like in them in this one as a road favorite. Lay it on the lollipops with confidence.
