With Carson Wentz back, the Eagles are a solid play at home this week versus the Colts.
There are some good match ups to make money on this week. Here are our picks.
FALCONS vs. Saints (+3): Inam going to take the Saints as a road in this game. Drew Bree’s and company have always played well in the ATL and the Falcons defense has been generous thus far this season.
CHIEFS (-6.5) vs. 49ers: I didn’t jump on the Niners bandwagon despite the Jimmy G hysteria. The Chiefs have the league’s number one offense and this is their home opener. The Niners don’t have a chance in this one. I’m taking the Chiefs with confidence.
DOLPHINS (-3) vs. Raiders: The Raiders should have won in Denver last week but imploded. Offensively, they will score points in this game but I don’t see them stoping Miami. That’s why I’m putting my money on Miami as a three point home favorite.
VIKINGS vs. Bills (+16.5): I know the Bills have been awful this far and the Vikings look like a legit contender in the NFC but -17.5 is an outrageous spread for an NFL. Buffalo shows up and plays Minnesota tough. I’m putting the dough on the Bills as a road dog.
EAGLES (-6.5) vs. Colts: The return of Carson Wentz against a mediocre Colts defense that gives up big plays is enough to sway me to the Eagles in this game. That and this game is at the Linc.
WASHINGTON (+2.5) vs. Packers: Give me the Skins as a home dog in this one. I don’t buy Green Bay’s defense and I suspect that Alex Smith and company will have a big day offensively. Washington wins a shootout.
PANTHERS (-3.5) vs. Bengals: I am not about to start loving up the Bengals because they whacked the Ravens on TNF. Sure, they are a playoff sleeper in the AFC but they will have a tough time winning in Carolina. The Panthers are tough at home. -3.5 is a small number for a home favorite so it’s an easy bet.
JAGUARS vs. Titans (+9.5): The Jaguars will come back to earth a bit this week after their big win over the Patriots last week. I think Jacksonville will win this game but 9.5 is too big a number to put the money on them. Give me the Titans as a road dog to play tough in this game.
RAVENS vs. Broncos (+5.5): The Ravens will come out flying at home but despite that I don’t like them as a nearly touchdown favorite. Give me the Broncos as a road dog. I can see them winning this game against a Ravens team that is so inconsistent.
TEXANS vs. Giants (+6.5): Both teams have struggled out of the gate but something tells me the Giants will play well in this game. I know it is the home opener for the Texans but I just can’t put my money on them right now. Give me the Giants in the upset of the day.
RAMS (-7) vs. Chargers: I think the Rams are a legit Super Bowl contender and I just don’t buy the Chargers like a lot of other people do. Give me the Rams at home. I think they’ll win by two scores.
CARDINALS vs. Bears (-6): I am probably making a mistake putting my money on the Bears but I’m buying them right now so why not? Bears
SEAHAWKS vs. Cowboys (+2): The Seahawks are a mess. I know it’s tough playing at Century Link Field but these aren’t the 2013 Seahawks. This is a much different team. Dallas is better and that’s why I’m picking them as a road dog.
LIONS vs. Patriots (-7): The Patriots coming off a loss are always a good play. They are an even better play tonight going up former defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and a Lions team that sucks right now.
BUCCANEERS vs. Steelers (-1): The Steelers are a desperate team right now and desperate teams are dangerous. I know everyone and there mother is all about FitzMagic but I think the Steelers will come to play tomorrow night and beat the Bucs. I’m putting my money on the Steelers.
