Week 7 wrapped with the Eagles beating the Redskins last night 34-24 Carson Wentz was spectacular, passing for 268 yards and four touchdown passes in the win.
Here are my thoughts on Week 7.
1. The Chiefs are not a Super Bowl contender because they do not have a Super Bowl caliber defense.
2. It’s too bad the Bears are starting a rookie quarterback and have no skill players offensively because they are playing great defense right now.
3. The Packers really should consider signing Colin Kaepernick. Brett Hundley and Joe Callahan are not the answer at quarterback . Not even close!
4. I am not sure that I am ready to proclaim that the Saints are for real but they are better than I thought.
5. That thud you just heard was the Arizona Cardinals season crashing and burning.
6. The Cowboys finally got Dak and Zeke on track but it was against the 49ers. I am not sure I would be excited if I were a Cowboys fan quite yet.
7. The Broncos are in big trouble. They don’t have a quarterback, can’t score and now the defense has sprung a leak. Things could get ugly in the Mile High City if they lose to the Chiefs this week.
8. People need to settle down with the tongue bathing of the Steelers. Yes, they are playing better but they can still be inconsistent at times and there are a lot of prima donnas in that locker room. Case in point. Martavius Bryant.
9. The Falcons are in trouble. After a 3-0 start, they are 0-3 in their last three games and look inept on offense. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian better figure things out or he could be looking for a job in the next couple of weeks.
10. Heading into the 2016 draft, I proclaimed that I felt Carson Wentz was a franchise quarterback. I got ridiculed by some. How do I look now? The kid is a stud!
