Week four is in the books. Here are some thoughts on the week that was in the NFL.
1. The Patriots are in trouble. Their defense is a mess and they cannot protect Tom Brady. They are vulnerable and the rest of the league needs to capitalize.
2. I thought the Jets were going to be historically bad? No?
3. It’s time for me to admit to that the Rams are legit. 31 year old Sean McVay has re-energized a franchise that was stuck in mud. They could win the NFC West.
4. I guess Ryan Tannehill was a bigger part of the Dolphins offense than we have him credit for. It wasn’t all Adam Gase last season.
5. Deshaun Watson is starting to get comfortable in Bill O’Brien‘s offense and is playing like a franchise quarterback for the Texans.
6. To all the fine folks out there who thought the Titans were contenders, they are not. They gave up 57 points. Not contenders!
7. The Giants are 0-4 and there is a good chance that they don’t recover from this start. Ben McAdoo’s job is on the line.
8. I feel bad for the Chargers. Not only are they are 0-4, they are playing in a city that doesn’t want them. They need to move back to San Diego!
9. If Derek Carr is out longer than two weeks, the Raiders are screwed. They have no chance to keep their heads above water with E.J Manuel at quarterback.
10. The Chiefs are already in the driver’s seat for the number one seed in the AFC. A road that has to go through Arrowhead could be a difficult one to navigate for the other contenders in the AFC.
