Week four featured a shutout, a 300 yard receiver performance, a five touchdown pass game and a busted tablet. Just another weekend in the NFL.
1. As good as the Patriots looked last week against the Texans, they looked equally as bad this week against the Bills. So much for Bill Belichick being a genius huh?
2. The Panthers miss Josh Norman and Julio Jones’ performance yesterday is proof they do. General manager Dave Gettleman didn’t want to pay Norman and now the Panthers are paying for it.
3. Russell Wilson torched the Jets and he’s playing with an MCL sprain and a sprained ankle. That’s unbelievable. Seattle has found their swagger again, especially on defense.
4. Speaking of the Jets. The brutal schedule to start the season is proof that the Jets don’t have the talent to play with some of the heavyweights of the league.
5. I haven’t seen a wide receiver have as big a game as Julio Jones did yesterday since Calvin Johnson 329 yard performance in 2013. In some ways, Jones performance was more impressive.
6. Dak Prescott got off to a slow start against the 49ers but he bounced back in a big way leading the Cowboys to a 24-17 win over the 49ers.
At 3-1, the Cowboys are off to a great start this season and much of that is attributed to the rookie quarterback. Jason Garrett will a tough choice to make when Tony Romo is cleared.
7. The Cardinals look nothing like the team that won 13 games last season. Their offense is one dimensional and teams are running over their undersized defense. With Carson Palmer in the concussion protocol, the Red Birds could be in trouble on Thursday night against the 49ers.
8. Two home games, two weather delays in Tampa. I know Tampa Bay/St. Pete is the home of lightning and thunder storms but that’s a bit ridiculous!
9. If Chargers coach Mike McCoy gets fired after this season, it will be because of his staff’s inability to put their players in position to finish games.
10. Did the Chiefs get off the bus last night? I know the Steelers are good offensively, especially now that Le’Veon Bell is back but losing 43-14 is inexcusable. So much for the Chiefs being contenders.
