The NEPSAC Football season if officially underway with all of the programs in New England kicking off their seasons this past weekend. With that said, here is our first Top 10 NEPSAC Poll of the season. Plenty to digest with this one. As always, this poll will change on a weekly basis.
1. Brunswick (2-0)- Bruins off to a domninant start and look like one of the top teams in the region. A loaded roster led by Matty Augustine, Ethan Long and Blake Herbert will be tough to deal with all season long. Brunswick is a clear favorite in the NPFC.
2. Choate (1-0)- The Wild Boars didn’t skip a beat in a 38-0 win over the Lawrenceville School. A home game with the Kent School is up next.
3. Tabor Academy (1-0)- Speaking of special teams, Jeff Moore has assembled one in Marion. The Seawolves are loaded and they flexed their muscles in a 42-0 win over St. Mark’s.
4. BB&N (1-0)- Mike Willey’s team is loaded and features one of the best backfield’s in New England with Syracuse commit running back Bo MacCormick and quarterback Damon Taylor. The Knights will be a wire to wire contender in the ISL Large.
5. Williston-Northampton (2-0)- Tommy Beaton’s squad is off to an impressive start with wins over Deerfield and Phillips Andover. The offense looks like it could be special.
6. Avon Old Farms (1-1)- After opening the season with a loss against Hun, the Winged Beavers bounced back nicley last week with a 42-6 win over Kent. Rivalry game with Loomis on tap this Friday.
7. Belmont Hill (1-0)- Hard fought win over St. Seb’s is proof that Anthony Fuccillo’s squad is ready to defend their ISL crown against any team in the ISL Large.
8. Dexter Southfield (2-0)- Casey Day’s team is rolling after wings over Kingswood-Oxford and Austin Prep. They a big game on Wednesday night at Phillips-Exeter Academy. Both schools are undefeated.
9. Phillips-Exeter Academy (2-0)- After a hard fought win against Cheshire, Phillips welcomes a talented and physical Dexter Southfield team to Exeter in a midweek showdown.
10. Milton Academy (1-0)- Mustangs kickoff the season with a 29-2 win over Roxbury Latin ahead of this week’s rivalry game against BB&N. Milton has a lot of new faces but they are a sleeper in the ISL Large.
