Massachusetts Showcase Day times unveiled

A few years ago, the idea to help promote Massachusetts football players to major colleges over a two-day span was born.

Players at private schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut show off their skills to scouts and recruiters from all around the country, who travel the roads of the Commonwealth and Nutmeg State stopping at each school to try and uncover the next diamond in the rough, or make sure they see all the buzz for themselves with some of the region’s top guys.

On Monday, the times for each school participating in the Massachusetts Showcase will be participating.

Here’s how things will look on Tuesday, May 12:

Deerfield Academy – 6:15 a.m.

Williston-Northampton – 7:45 a.m.

Worcester Academy – 9:45 a.m.

Philips Andover – 10:45 a.m.

Tabor Academy 2:30 p.m.

Milton Academy – 4:15 p.m.

St. Sebastian’s – 5:45 p.m.

BB&N – 7:15 p.m.

The biggest story of the day will most likely come from Andover, where Ernie Adams will be part of his first Showcase Day. Top QB recruit (one of the most highly coveted in the country) and Michigan commit Peter Bourque will have a chance to show off a little bit in a controlled setting as well. Dexter Southfield has been an O-line factory lately and BB&N regularly produces D1 talent. Mike Willey’s group will certainly make the long day worthwhile in the nightcap for the dozens of representative making the rounds.

This two-day span has quickly become must-stops on the recruiting trail for every major D1 FBS and FCS program. The talent on display May 12 might be the best there’s been yet.
