Many eyes of the NFL world will be fixed on New England this week. 95 and the Pike will be jammed (even more than usual) with scouts, coaches, GMs and media members from around the country

It’s officially Pro Day week in New England, with BC, UConn, UMass and Holy Cross hosting their events on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday respectively this upcoming week.

Pro Days are the final steps for GMs and coaches in the pre-draft process, while for players, it’s one final job interview before the big weekend finally arrives in April. It’s also a chance for guys who may not get drafted to put forth one great final impression for scouts and coaches from other leagues in hopes of keeping that pro football dream alive, whether it’s in the NFL or not.

Here are all the details for each day, along with some names to watch and others that could turn some heads in Chestnut Hill, Storrs, Amherst and Worcester:

Boston College: Monday, March 24th, Fish Field House (11:00 a.m)

Participants: Kam Arnold, Bryquice Brown, Jack Conley, Donovan Ezeirauku, Cam Horsley, Khari Johnson, Drew Kendall, Kamari Morales, Neto Okpala, Kye Robichaux, Dino Tomlin, Ozzy Trapilo, Treshaun Ward.

Other local schools represented:
Cole Birdow (Merrimack), Taji Johnson (BC/Buffalo), Jirhe Love (BC), Salvatore Lupoli Jr. (Bentley), Dylan Poirier (UNH).

Players to watch: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Ozzy Trapilo, Neto Okpala, Kam Arnold, Kye Robichaux

The lots and garages might be a little crowded around Alumni Stadium on Monday morning. There’s expected to be a lot of NFL Scots, GM’s and coaches on hand for Pro Day, with Ezeiruaku and Trapilo getting all the attention. Coming off an ACC Defensive Player of the Year with 16.5 sacks and a stellar showing at the NFL Combine, Ezeiruaku has a chance to put the final touches on his NFL first round resumé before the draft in April. Trapilo’s 6’8″ frame automatically makes him an attraction to many teams and his leadership qualities, along with the ability to develop under Matt Applebaum as a stellar tackle makes him second round caliber.

Okpala often got overlooked on the opposite side of Ezeiruaku, but his quickness off the edge and ability to tackle in the open field are qualities looked for in a prospect and he can do both things very well. If Okpala can put on a show in both the weight room and on the field Monday and get on the radars of everyone in attendance if he isn’t already, you never know if a team could fall in love with him with pass rushing at a premium right now. Same goes for Arnold and Robichaux. Arnold should be fully healthy now and a good day could earn him a shot on day three or quickly after as a UDFA. We all saw what Robichaux can do as a workhorse back and the position suddenly seems to be in demand again. A good day could open more eyes.

UConn: Tuesday, March 25th, Mark R, Shenkman Trainning Center, (1:00 p.m.)

Participants: Chase Lundt OT, Val Senn OT, Dalmont Gourdine DT, Jelani Stafford DT/FB, TJ Sheffield WR, Malik Dixon-Williams DB, Jayden McDonald LB, Jack Barton DE, Jayden Simon DT, Chris Fortin IOL, Jordan Wright DB, Tui Faumina-Brown LB, Brett Buckman WR, EZ Anderson WR/TE, Durante Jones DB, Jevon Banks DL

Other local schools represented: Kayode Oladele DL (Abilene Christian), Thomas Perry OG (Middlebury), Juan Rosario DB (New Haven), Wande Owens DB (New Hampshire/Yale), Spencer Alston DB (Yale), Joey Felton WR (Yale), Tre Peterson RB (Yale), Davone Walden DB (Central Connecticut), Aidan Clark P (Central Connecticut), Jalen Howard DL (Central Connecticut), Dan Toatley DL (Central Connecticut), Isaac Boston WR (Central Connecticut/Dartmouth), Maurice Wilmer LB (LIU), Desmond Fogle LB (LaGrange), Terron Mallory DB (Norfolk State/Sacred Heart), Logan Tomlinson WR (UNH), Keith Ridley QB (Southern Connecticut), Joe Digello LB (Southern Connecticut), Donato Crisanti LS (URI), Julian Ferguson WR (Western Connecticut), Isaiah Bishop EDGE (Sacred Heart), Tyreke Brown EDGE (Sacred Heart), Jalen Madison RB (Sacred Heart), Marques Mason DB (Sacred Heart), Mike Lee Joseph DB (Sacred Heart), Cal Redman TE (Stony Brook), John Thomas OG (New Haven), Jack Quander DL (New Haven), Christian Ais DB (New Haven), Christopher Ais RB (New Haven), David Abolarinwa DL (New Haven), Giye Jenkins DB (New Haven)Jacob Flynn WR (Stonehill)

Players to watch: Chase Lundt, Val Senn, TJ Sheffield, Durante Jones, Thomas Perry, Wande Owens, Logan Tomlinson

Lundt has a case to be a Top 100 pick today and one final showcase at home on Tuesday could cement it. His Offensive line-mate Senn is another case where someone is a bit overlooked because of the superstar alongside him. Don’t be surprised if he’s a name with some buzz when scouts hit the road to head down to Amherst. It seems people forgot how good Jones was at times for the Huskies and he’s another player that could turn some heads with a solid 40 and on-field work. Perry’s name suddenly got a ton of attention after his huge week at the East-West Shrine Bowl. A follow up performance could lock up him hearing or seeing his name called. Tomlinson was one of the best receivers in the CAA last season and he could make it two years in a row where a Wildcat gets drafted with a standout day.

There’s obviously a ton of names up there who could have a great day during the biggest job interview of their lives, but the overall arching theme with all those names is how important it is that they’ll be there. In a time where coaches are terrified of letting their stars shine somewhere else, local programs accept Jim Mora’s willingness to open things up to give their guys a shot. It’s just good to see a symbiotic relationship with all these local schools, but this one particularly stands out because of the volume of players that aren’t UConn guys coming in.

UMass: Wednesday, March 26th, Practice Bubble (12:00 p.m.)

Participants: Dom Mazotti TE, Jaelyn Lay TE, Frank Ladson WR, Jakobie Keeney-James WR, Brayden Rohme OL, Ethan Mottinger OL, Josh Atwood OL, Mack Ayers LB Gerrell Johnson LB, Isaiah Rutherford DB, Arsheen Jiles DB, Tyler Rudolph DB, Leonard St. Gourdin DB, Lake Ellis DB, Te’Rai Powell DB, Etinosa Reuben DL, CJ Kolodziey P, John Burton RB, Darius Gooden DB, Delvin Attafah WR, Michael Oppong DB, Jake Orlando, TE

Other local schools represented: None

Players to watch: Dom Mazotti, Jakobie Keeney-James, Josh Atwood, Isaiah Rutherford, Lake Ellis, Te’Rai Powell, Michael Oppong

It’s an all-Minuteman affair after practice. Mazzotti’s versatility could be coveted somewhere on day three and he’s got a chance to show it off on Wednesday. Same can be said for Kenny-James. Atwood is arguably the best story as a heart-and-soul guy through all the bad times for UMass after a stellar career at Natick. With the line (on both sides of the ball)n having a light shined on it brighter than ever after the Super Bowl, depth at the position is a priority for everyone. A good showing in front of scouts could earn him a shot. You also don’t necessarily think lock down defense when you think Minuteman football lately, but Rutherford, Ellis, Powell and Oppong all have shown flashes of what could be in their careers. You never know.

Holy Cross: Thursday, March 27th, St. Augnitus Practice Facility (11:00 a.m.)

Participants: Frankie Monte LB, Justin Shorter WR

Other local schools represented: Josh Addo DB (MERRIMACK) Cole Birdow OL (MERRIMACK), Jermaine Corbett RB/KR (SACRED HEART/MERRIMACK), Deon Houston DB (MERRIMACK), Grant Jackson DB (MERRIMACK), Allen (Tre) Jordan DB (MERRIMACK), Brandon Roberts DL (MERRIMACK), Nick Lenon DL (MERRIMACK), Tyler Leavy DL (MERRIMACK), Jay Thompson DE/OLB (MERRIMACK), Donte Williams DB (MERRIMACK), Caleb Mead DB/RB/KR (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Seth Morgan QB (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Dylan (Flex) Ruiz DE (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Josiah Silver DE (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Zedane Williams DB/LB (NEW HAMPSHIRE), Pat Conroy TE (MERRIMACK/OLD DOMINION), Mark Mahoney TE (BROWN), Sediki Kone RB/KR (AMERICAN INTL), Hector Johnson DE/LB (ENDICOTT)

Players to watch: Frankie Monte, Justin Shorter, Jermaine Corbett, Josiah Silver, Pat Conroy, Mark Mahoney, Seth Morgan, Caleb Mead

Both Crusaders were integral pieces to all the winning over the last handful of years. Monte is basically a Madden character at linebacker and Shorter could follow in the footsteps of Jalen Coker and have an immediate impact in the NFL if given the opportunity, whether drafted or undrafted. Going back to the running back theory a little while ago, Corbett is a physical back who put on a show both as a Pioneer and as a Warrior. Overlooked in the NEC with a chance to show off on Thursday. Silver was the most terrifying edge in the CAA last season and is also slept on because of the conference he’s in. He’ll be a guy people are talking more about when it’s all said and done. Same can be said for the tight ends Conroy and Mahoney, particularly Mahoney because of the Ivy League thing. There’s going to be a run on tight ends in the draft eventually on day three, he’s got a chance to throw his name in the mix. Morgan and Mead could follow Dylan Laube into the NFL with a good showing.

Also, it’s obviously worth pointing out the relationship between Curran, Merrimack head coach Mike Gennetti and UNH head coach Rick Santos with al of the Merrimack and UNH guys heading out to Worcester. Great to see all those guys getting an opportunity with Holy Cross gladly hosting them.

It should be a fantastic and possibly dream-making week for so many different guys that played their college ball in New England. For others, they may learn that they might be better off looking into other career endeavors, or steering their dreams towards one of the other pro leagues.
