After a short wait, Lincoln-Sudbury has a new head coach.
That man is Justin McKay, who most recently served as the program’s defensive coordinator. McKay takes over for Jim Girard, who had an excellent run as the L-S coach. L-S announced that McKay would be the new coach via Twitter.
McKay had been defensive coordinator over the past five seasons, and has experience as a head coach.
Girard went 39-11 with four Dual County League titles, and a state title appearance in 2019.
McKay has experience as a head coach at both Algonquin and St. Peter-Marian. At St. Peter-Marian in 2017, he led the team to the D6 Central Mass. final. He led Algonquin for the previous five seasons before that. In six seasons as a head coach, he compiled a record of 33-33. He took Algonquin to the D2 Central Mass. championship game in 2016.
McKay played his college ball at Assumption.
