The San Francisco 49ers have given disgruntled star teceiver Brandon Aiyuk permission to seek a trade to a team that is interested and has spoken to the 49ers. So the Patriots, Browns and Steelers seem to be the most interested.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, all three teams are in the hunt for Aiyuk. Here is what we know so far in regards to Aiyuk and whether or not he will be traded.
- The Patriots have offered Kendrick Bourne and a second round pick.
-
The Cleveland Browns have reportedly offered Amari Cooper.
-
The 49ers have framework agreements in place with the Patriots and Browns.
-
After two weeks, the 49ers have reportedly had enough of Aiyuk and the situation. That is why they are pursuing a deal.
-
The Steelers are in the hunt but are struggling with the idea of overpaying for him.
-
The 49ers like the idea of a Bourne reunion. According to the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan, the Niners were interested in Bourne this spring, prior to him re-signing with the Patriots.
-
The Patriots are probably going to need to overpay him on an extension. Potentially $30 million plus.
