I’m Just Sayin: Peyton Winning Number Two Solidifies His Legacy As One of the Three Greatest Quarterbacks of All Time.

Peyton Manning is once again a world champion.

I know Patriots fans don’t want to hear this but the fact of the matter is, Peyton Manning is now officially one of the three greatest quarterbacks of all time. Winning his second Super Bowl solidified Manning’s place as an all time great.

Manning has been a thorn in the Patriots side throughout his career but you have to tip your hat to the guy. He’s a tremendous competitor who has played the game right way and has been a class act. Sure, you can question his character with the HGH stuff but until we have more information, we should reserve judgement.

Manning played awful last night but it didn’t matter because C.J Anderson complimented him enough on offense and the Broncos defense was dominant. Manning’s detractors will say that he didn’t deserve to win last night because he didn’t play well. Patriots fans will say that Denver was lucky to get there. Look, say whatever you want. The guy is a Super Bowl champion today and that’s all that matters.

Unlike most people around here, I have a great deal of respect for Manning. He has been a great player for a long time. Not only that but Manning has also been an ambassador for the game on and off the field. From a fan standpoint, he’s been a lot of fun to watch. Sure, I can rip him for his playoff record and  his nine one and dones but why do that? It’s been done already. Let’s move on from that. The guy is a great player regardless of what his playoff record is.

There is no question that Tom Brady is the better quarterback when comparing him to Manning. I think we can all agree with that. That being said, I don’t think people around here should dismiss how a great Manning is because we don’t like him. Respect what he’s done. He’s a great a player and he deserves your respect. Like it or not, Peyton Manning is a two time Super Bowl champion. He deserves to be called one of the greatest of all time. Get over the hate and respect the man. He’s earned it. I’m just saying.
